Jewelry Haul

So my sister and I popped into the mall a few days ago because she needed to buy something she had on hold, and we decided to check out Dillards because we heard they were having their 50% off clearance sale.

We went in and there were people everywhere. It was hard to maneuver around the store and I had no intention of buying anything but I somehow got sucked into the jewelry section and kept finding beautiful pieces for such bargains that I just couldn't say no. The handbag and shoe section were a complete mess and were so picked over that we found nothing worth buying. But the beautiful jewelry pieces made the trip worth it. So without further ado, here is my jewelry haul!

I might end up returning these because I think I bought TOO many pieces and I own a pair of tribal-y triangle earrings already sooo... perhaps I should be sensible and part ways with these House of Harlow ones?
Original price= $48
Purchase price= $14.40

Original price= $24
Purchase price= $8.40

I bought 2 more House of Harlow earrings. These are the sunburst ones. I couldn't decide between these two. So I just bought both because they are so lovely.
Original price= $58
Purchase price=$16.50

Original price=$35
Purchase price= $10.50

Original price= $28
Purchase price= $7.20

Necklace brand: Anna & Ava.
Purchase price= $10.50

These Kate Spade ones might just be my fave out of the bunch. They are pink stones with a rose gold casing which looks absolutely gorgeous! They would be great for dressing up an outfit especially for an evening function/outing.
Original price= $98
Purchase price= $29.40

I bought this bracelet a few weeks ago but I included it anyway. This J.Crew bracelet is so gorgeous. Another one of my fave pieces I have gotten recently. I love wearing it with simpler outfits to really dress my look up, and make it more classy/elegant. (I threw away my receipt but this bracelet was less than $18 on sale)

That's all for now. See you in the next post. :)

Michael Kors Selma Satchel Review

I have been lusting after a Michael Kors handbag for years now. Anyone and everyone these days has a MK bag (which can be good or bad) but my fiance, aka the love of my life treated me to one for my birthday this past year and I am FINALLY getting around to writing my review on it.

I was at first debating between the "Hamilton" Tote

 and the "Selma" Satchel,

Given the title of this post, I am sure you can guess that I went with the large "Selma" satchel in Navy Saffiano leather to be exact. I am in LOVE with this bag, and have gotten many compliments on it. The bag retails for $358 at most department stores.

Pros:
  • Structure of the bag is different but subtle enough to be a timeless piece.
  • It has the top handles so that you can carry it on your arm/elbow area and if you hate doing that for more than 10 minutes (like me) then there is the long shoulder strap that you can utilize which by the way is adjustable. You COULD also wear it cross-body but I do not prefer that style because the bag is so large it looks and feels awkward to me.
  • It is very versatile. I have worn it to my professional internship where suits and jackets were required and have worn it out shopping, running errands, dinner, etc.
  • It comes in a variety of different colors. I went with the navy blue because it was "neutral" enough for everyday but it still adds a little something extra to my look
  • There is 1 zippered compartment, and 4 smaller compartments to store your things which is plenty of room for my things.
  • The purse has one top zip which is what made me chose this bag over the Hamilton one because I prefer my things to remain secure.
Cons:
  • I wish it was an inch or two taller so that I could fit my legal pad/folders in there and be able to close the zipper.
  • I also wish that there was a partition inside the bag so it wasn't just one big compartment. It would make it easier to organize my things but this is not a major issue for me because I like to keep my things in separate small pouches/wristlets anyway.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

Since I have never done a tag on my blog before, I thought I would do the 7 deadly sins of beauty tag because it has been going around on YouTube and blogs recently. No one tagged me but who cares :P haha Let's begin!

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

Most inexpensive would have to be anything from the E.L.F dollar line. I have a few eyeshadow palettes, primer, brushes, and eyelashes
Most expensive would probably be my Tarte Jewelry box palette. It cost a little over $50. I have yet to splurge on anything beauty related that has cost more than that.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

The MAC studio sculpt concealer. I have it in the shade NC30.
The product has a thick consistency and is full coverage so you mostly have to wear a foundation with it to make your face makeup look even and smooth. It is not really good for spot correcting. It does do a great job at concealing though but its just not good for everyday.

I haven't really had a hard time finding a product I have wanted... I am having a hard time getting a hold of an empty Make Up Forever palette to put my eye shadows in. I know they sell it on Sephora online but I just haven't ever felt the need to place an order on the site since there are locations close to me.

 3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
(We do not eat our beauty products)

The most delicious SMELLING product I own would probably be my Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume. It smells DIVINE! I love floraly scents and if I had to wear one perfume for the rest of my life I would choose this one.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
I neglect my skincare products most often. Eye-creams and face moisturizers. (that's probably why I have such horrible skin -_-)

 5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I think eye-liner because I feel that my eyes are my best facial feature and black liquid liner on the top lid always makes me feel like I "look good" without trying too hard...so that makes me self-confident.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
A guy who dresses well and can make me laugh.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I would love to receive an expensive beauty item as a gift just because I am not a HUGE splurger on beauty items. I'd love a Chanel product as a gift if anyone would like to go ahead and buy me something ;)

I tag anyone and everyone to do this tag!
